Limited double vinyl LP pressing in gatefold sleeve. In 1978 the Grease soundtrack became a phenomenon. Its good-natured combination of doo wop and early rock n roll is infectious and charming, due in no small part to John Travolta and Olivia Newton-Johns charismatic, engaging performances. They sing the majority of the tracks including Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Youre the One That I Want, Greased Lightnin’ and more. Singer Olivia Newton-John, cast at Travoltas urging, had done little acting before this film. She appeared in the 1970 film Toomorrow, a science fiction musical that predated her initial chart success with 1971s If Not for You.
